Would you rather be around immature people or mature people? Would you rather be around people who gossip, spread rumors and act guyish and play mind games and act snobby and think they're so cool and popular or.......
would you rather be around people who are quiet, likes to keep things to them self unless someone said something or did something offensive to them, acts mature around people and is modest and accepts all people for what they look like and doesn't care to be popular or not? |
| How about a healthy mix of both types? |
How to dig up a mature green japanese maple tree? this tree must be moved. has 6 main branches. each about 3 inches in diameter. do I need to trim it good before taking it out:
how do I start? should I water a lot a day or 2 before digging?
do the roots go straight down or wide spread around the base?
what is success ratio? |
| If you are considering transplanting it with any degree of success you will have to wait and do it when it is dormant and while the ground is friable. Prepare the site where it is to go before attempting to move the tree. You mention it is a mature tree so it must be between 20-30ft. Are you sure you want to do it? The success rate isn't that high even if you bring in professionals with the correct equipment and I wouldn't recommend you doing it otherwise. |
Why have the bottom leaves of my mature cordyline turned brown? The tips went brown first and gradually spread to the whole leaf. The tips on every leaf also look damaged. Is the cordyline diseased or is it just because the lower leaves don`t have enough light? |
Don't worry - it is normal for the bottom leaves to go brown.
Gently take off the brown leaves and you'll see a wonderful trunk appearing.
You only need to worry if no new leaves appear at the top. |
What 2 colors should i paint my room if my bed spread is light pink? i dont want it to look to guy like, but i dont want it to be too mature, im only 14. HEEEELP! i dont know what to do. |
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:
www.sherwin.com/visualizer/
I think "needlepoint navy" (# 0032) & "canvas tan" (# 7531) might be a good choice.
You can take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:
www.roomvues.com/
You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like. |
How do I stop the spread of Lilac roots?? Some mature lilac shrubs in my backyard have a roots system that is everywhere; new shoots are coming up and I want to control this - how can I end this new growth without harming the bush by killing all of it's roots???
(I dont want to just pull the shoots and let these dang roots keep growing out , disturbing other plants, etc...) |
Not a lot you can do. Some lilacs spread by suckers and you obviously have one of those varieties.
Each sucker can be chopped off but they will keep coming I am afraid.

If possible take the other plants around it out of that bed and leave it for the lilac. Any suckers that get into the lawn can be mown off whilst still young and not woody.
If you want a bed with a lilac and mixed planting try a non-suckering form like Palibin

We have a bad green bubble algae problem. What works to remove it? I have a 75 gal. reef tank and I am having bad trouble with green bubble algae. It is spreading everywhere! I know to remove it without bursting bubbles. I know not to just do nothing because they mature and spread spores. (learned that the hard way) I hand remove all I can but on the larger live rock with corals attatched I can't just pluck it out of the water and rinse it off to remove spores. I have heard emerald crabs work , but I am afraid they might start eating my coral. Any advise on the removal of this pain would be greatly appreciated. |

Atheists, how can we spread Christmas logic this year? I was thinking it would be best to show off our logic and rationality, really let them illogical Christians have it, by making a sign that said something like this:
"This season, celebrate reason!", that is overlayed on Christian imagery.
Isn't that the best way to showcase how mature and logical we are? Isn't that the best way to prove that atheists are not at all, not in the least, completely juvenile and asinine individuals? |
| Go and contribute to science there are HARDLY any scientists that are atheists.Maybe then all can believe that atheists celebrate reason. |
A fleshy fruit is more likely to use which of the following methods of seed dispersal? A. eaten by animals and seeds passed through feces
B. blown by wind
C. stuck to fur of mammal and carried
D. fruit bursts when mature, spreading seeds outward
E. drop and remain near parent plant |
Depending on your definition of fleshy fruit, either of these could be correct:
E. Most of the fleshy fruits are large fruits--peach, plum, apple--and are not carried away or eaten whole by birds or animals.
A. The seeds of the smaller fleshy fruits (strawberries and the brambles) will be eaten along with the fruit by animals. |
Can anyone suggest some plants for a large steep bank area.? Low maintenance would be better, with a bit of colour if possible. I have a large area to do so would like to put in plants that will grow and spread out, giving a mature garden effect. |
| ground cover rambling roses which spread out horizontally rather than grow upwards will give a lovely show of colour, also a mass of primroses for spring colour |
"What is the best way for me to manage my time?"? I'm starting a new semester in the nursing program and will be working part-time on the side. I really want to learn how to manage my time better because I noticed that I was lacking that last semester. I am not a procrastinator in school but I don't seem to know why I still don't have any time. I wish to work out 4-5 times a week (swimming for 1 hr) and I know I could do this if I wake up really really early. Time is of essence and the more I mature I realize I cannot spread myself too thin and making priorities and sticking to it consistently is what results in sucessful outcomes. So, do you have a strategy of some sort to manage time like a laid out chart, etc. I would prefer to get some answers from successful older people. Please state your age and what you do. Thanks. |
| Draw yourself up a flexible timetable. You have to set aside time for things to do other than work otherwise you'll get bored and rundown. |
